Another great day here in Sault Ste. Marie. The day started a little later than planned. One of the valve stems on the tire went flat…but a maintenance shop was right across the street. We had to eat breakfast in a place that was less than enjoyable, but we did eventually get here to the church and got on the move. We were able to go out and invite some more kids and were able to get 5 more contacts!
After lunch we noticed that a lot of the teens were getting pretty tired so we gave them a “nap time” in the church auditorium. After 45 minutes they were refreshed (and posed for many good pictures). We took them bowling in the afternoon and then hurried back here for a quick supper so the bus was able to leave here at 5 pm. Attendance was about the same or a few more than last night. We lost 15+ kids to the fireworks that are happening for the 4th of July on the other side of the river, but that was expected. The most important thing happened tonight though… Melanie had an opportunity to lead a 10-12 year old girl from our class to Christ. She seemed very encouraged to have this opportunity.
We are just getting ready to head to watch the fireworks ourselves from the Canadian side over the water. Thank you for your prayers. God is blessing and we are encouraged.
